Water's uses in religion and spirituality

Water's uses in religion and spirituality

In many religions and spiritual practices, the idea of water is very prominent in their beliefs. The very sight of water can mean both good and negative things according to some beliefs.

In a good light, the sight of water can symbolize a cleansing of the soul or even represent the divine of a person's soul. It can signal a time in a persons life where all bad things have been erased allowing a person to start over and be a better person. It can be used to represent life and a living healthy. In the religion of Shinto tribes, water is a source for a person to clean ones self and drink just right before they make their way to a sacred place of worship.

In Hinduism, the sight of water and bodies of water, really comes to them as very spiritually significant. Because of it's significance in their religion, funeral rites usually take place near bodies of water to help rejuvenate the dead persons soul and spirit. In hinduism and many other religions, water is the very essence of life, it's what keeps a person clean and nourishes the person's soul.

Another point to come across, is the fact that some religions fear the sight of water since it's representation can also mean an impending flood or other natural disaster.

Whatever a religion sees in water, it's guaranteed that without water, there would no life on this planet. So appreciate it and cherish it because it's what keeps us going.

Views on President Bush

Views on President Bush

In my opinion, President Bush has to be one of the worst presidents ever! Especially because of the War in Iraq. He has made so many excuses for remaining in that place.
Reason one: Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction. Did president Bush have any evidence showing that he did? No, they just went ahead and attacked Saddam. At the end, There was never any weapons of mass destruction found. Saddam once said "He dreamed up the WMD." In any case, I agree with Saddam.
Reason two: Saddam's trial. To say the least, I don't think Saddam stood a chance in this so called trial. With everybody out to get him, he a dying man.
Reason three: Rebuild a city that will never be rebuilt. After Saddam's death, The troops were stationed to remain in Iraq because we have to rebuilt it. Sounds like a pretty good deed, except everyday, our troops continue to get killed and the new creations continues to get destroyed. Why doesn't he just come to terms that no matter what we do, Iraq will always be the same, killing each other for no reason. Time to withdraw.
I guess in closing, It is time for our troops to stop dying and come home to their family and friends.

A Thought on Extinction

A Thought on Extinction

What is the importance of Extinction? It means the end of a living species, that will never be seen again. It is very much important for a number of reasons.

History has shown that extinction has a major impact on the environment. The age of the prehistoric creatures known as the dinosaurs came to a sudden end centuries ago. Many theories include them being hit by a giant meteorite which caused thousands and thousands of species to disappear forever. One has to wander whether or not something similar could happen to us? What if one day a meteor with a similar size crashes down on us and forces most of us to disappear and leave the rest to fend for themselves. With the impact of a meteorite, the sun would disappear for maybe years, resulting in plants and crops to die out, leaving animals and creatures alike to die of hunger and disease. The end result for us humans is a dark, morbid end for all of us left from the impact. The next thing you know, The human race is totally extincted.

Sounds pretty good for a story, right? Hey, you never know, it might just go down like that.
The point is, Just because it happens to animals and creatures alike, doesn't mean it can't happen to us.

Are paranormal and supernatural activities on the increase?

Are paranormal and supernatural activities on the increase?

Over the years, the subject of paranormal and the supernatural activities have been the main focus to some. Whether it's researchers or everyday civilians, the fact remains that a lot of people question what's going on today in our world. Most people would say that there is no doubt that those two subjects are on the rise.

In recent years, the amount of supernatural tales have raised to include many different types of sightings including ufo reports. At the present day thousands of people from all walks of life are reporting sightings of ghosts, spirits, and aliens in their homes and in the sky above. Why are all these different types of people experiencing these nocturnal midnight visits? Is it possible that these spirits and similar things alike actually do exist? Most people would "yes" since there is very good proof of their existence. Then again, you got the close minded people who would automatically throw the idea out the window and try to come up with something scientific to explain the incidents. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't or maybe can't.

The amazing places that have a ghastly reputation of spirits and specters include The Winchester Mystery House, The former battleship known as Hornet, Most Plantations, The White House where it is said that the spirit of Abraham Lincoln stalks the hallways and his old room, The Tower of London where a headless woman walks the night along with many other places.

With all of these places and more, there is no doubt that the paranormal and supernatural activities are on the rise. No matter where your at or where you go, chances are there will be ghostly legends waiting for you to discover them.

Can WWE be held at fault for recent deaths?

Can WWE be held at fault for recent deaths?

Ever since Chris Benoit murdered his family and killed himself, a lot of fingers has been pointed towards the WWE. Many people claim that the WWE is at fault. The only question I got, is "How do they come to a conclusion like that?"
If anyone is at fault, it's the wrestlers themselves. In Chris Benoit's case, It is Benoit's fault, not the WWE's fault. Benoit was the one that did the killings that were spread out over the weekend. Benoit was the one that lived with the dead bodies for at least a day. Benoit, had a history of steroid usage since the '80's. I just feel bad for Nancy and Daniel, being killed by the person they loved.
The case of Eddie Guerrero is a different story. Here is a man that earned his respect over the years. The manner in which he died, was a bit less quiet than Benoit. Early on November 13, 2005, Eddie and Chavo checked into a hotel in Minneapolis, they had breakfast, then exited to their rooms. Sometime later, Chavo received a call about Eddie not answering his wake up call. He was found dead inside his bathroom with a toothbrush still inside his mouth. The official cause of death- heart failure due to years of mistreating his body due to steroid usage and past bout's of alcoholism. Who's to blame? It's simple- It's Eddie's fault, he's the one that took steroids and continued to drink alcohol, knowing what the risks and result's might be. WWE had nothing to do with the death. In early 2002, Eddie cleaned up his act, but one has to ask themselves, Was the damage already done to his heart? How long had he been with this heart problem?
In the end, I think it is wrong to put the blame on the shoulders of the WWE. Every WWE superstar should know the risks and limitation to their steroid usage.

Is Hell a real place or a metaphor to deter evil-doers?

Is Hell a real place or a metaphor to deter evil-doers?

Is hell a real place or not? I would believe that most people would answer this question with a yes without thinking or using some common sense. Common sense would tell you that this place called hell has never been proven by anyone.

People go by what most bibles and religious clergy says. To say if heaven exists then so does hell is really just a joke. Nothing more. Heaven has never been proven to exist so why do people believe in it? It's simple, it's a way of giving them comfort when their time comes. Its a way of comfort to deal with a family or friend that just recently passed away. It's a way of thinking for churches and places alike. To get someone believing that hell exists is a pretty smart idea when it comes to making a person do right. To frighten a person so bad about what will happen to him in the afterlife if he continues down the wrong path would no doubt be a good way to make that person do good. The idea of heaven and hell is really just a mind game so powerful that it has worked to make people do better in life. A mind game that the churches and other religious clergies have thought up using the power of the bible.

The idea of heaven and hell is up to the person to determine if it is true or not. In my opinion, the concept of heaven and hell are both fabricated to intimidate people to do better in their lives.
